The band had a great time Friday and Saturday at the 2016 Barter Faire. What a great audience! Can’t say thank-you enough to all the staff, friends, musicians, an volunteers who make this possible!
The staff and patrons at the SweetRiver Bakery liked our Friday night show last week so much we’ve been invited back to play again this coming Friday, Sep 2nd! See you there.
The band has been very busy this summer. We performed in an open Jam along with Lota and Mike Duarte and the Slow Children at Play band and other friends at the Pastime Bar and Grill in April, the Farmer’s Market in Winthrop, Music in the Park in Omak, Art in the Park in Tonasket, Twisted Tuesday at the Pastime Bar and Grill several times, Oroville’s Farmers’ Market, Taber’s Winery a couple Wednesdays ago, a two-day private party on Harstine Island, WA last weekend, tomorrow we return to the Sweetriver Bakery in Pateros where the fun never stops, we’ll be back at Taber’s Barn on Sept 7, and then the Chesaw Tavern on Sept 17th. That doesn’t include some fun but impromptu unannounced performances at Oroville’s Centennial Park, Oroville’s City Park, a couple “practices” at America’s wonderful family diner on Oroville’s Main St., and another “practice” at Sully’s Longhorn Tavern in Loomis.
Wow – that’s a mouthful! No parades this year, but it has been a blast. The season is winding down, though, Barter Faire is on the books for October, but there’s quiet time ahead to rest, relax, catch up on projects around the houses, and look at some new material.
The Band would like to take this opportunity to thank each one of you for coming out and listening to our music and cheering us on. We’ve had the best audiences any band could wish for and the most fun a band can have.
And we have one more trick up our sleeves we’re working on – stay tuned!
We’re making up for lost time. If you remember last year we were burned out of the Bakery and had to hit the road out of town. See the Band On The Run post here. We go on at 6:00 pm ~ Come on out as it’s going to be a gorgeous day.
And it is easy to find!
On April 16 the band members took part in an awesome gathering of musicians from around the Okanogan. Details can be seen at the North Okanogan Online Magazine. Big thanks to Dianna and Tim Naillon of the Pastime Bar and Grill for offering their excellent venue for this jam. Here’s some photos.
